There is no secret in the terrible fact that diabetes is a very dangerous risk to a person’s life, specially for the people who are getting old. Statistics shows that an estimated of one out of seven people are having what is described as pre diabetic condition. Since there are no genuine cures for diabetes at the moment, pre diabetic state is the chance for you to avoid and beat the risk of this condition even before it occurs. But let us know what is pre diabetic condition?

Pre diabetic state is when the illness already exists in the person but it has not been diagnosed as of the moment. This is the best stage to stop it from developing completely through the option of diabetes home remedies. Yes, there are steps that you can take to beat this illness without spending that much on doctors, hospital bills and costly medicine. How will you know when to implement these diabetes home remedies? There are some questions you need to answer first. One of the things you have to resolve is whether anyone in your family has this condition by now since diabetes can be inherited. Next look upon yourself and answer honestly : are you fat, overweight or obese? If so, then the odds of diabetes are higher. Do you like to exercise or are you the lazy kind ?

Because those who lean to be a bit lazy when it comes to taking care of their body are the ones who are prone to get diabetes. Â Studies have shown that around all those who have developed type 2 diabetes went through pre diabetes first. This means that when you have a family member who has type 2 diabetes, if you do not exercise and you feel that you are too fat, then odds are you have pre diabetes by now.

With over fifteen percent of the whole inhabitants of the U.S.A. with this condition, then there is a high possibility of you having this condition in case you replied yes to one or more of the questions answered early on in this article. Plus, age , which is also a huge factor in developing type 2 diabetes. Those who are 45 to 65 years of age are at high risk of developing this condition. If you want to make sure that you have pre diabetes, there are 2 tests than you can choose from. First is the Fasting Plasma Glucose test or FPG and the Oral Glucose Tolerance test or OGT. If the medical tests prove to be affirmative and you have pre diabetes, chances are it will build up overtime. So what can you do about it?

Many advertisements and commercials show diabetes home remedies ranging from pills to other forms of drugs. But the fact is this, all you have to do if you are tested positive with pre diabetes is to change your lifestyle. Although this is more hard than taking medicine or drugs, it is much more cheaper and much more effective compared to other methods. An adjustment in lifestyle means that you should eat healthier. Keep away from sweets and sugar and eat more fruits and vegetables. But that will not be sufficient. You will also need to alter your exercise life style as well . Be a lot more energetic and participate in any form of sport or any activity which helps you to sweat. This will helps a lot in burning all that surplus sugar in your blood.

It is recommended by doctors and health experts that you take part in physical activities at least an hour each day to stay in good shape and stay healthy. You may also still have to take medication which will slow down the progress of diabetes, but the truth remains that you still need to change what you eat and you have also to exercise.

Diabetes is a serious condition which can lead to serious disorders of the body. It does not have a simple or permanent cure yet, but it can certainly be controlled by lifestyle changes. These changes include a healthy diet, eating plans, and regular physical activity or exercise. What is Type 2 Diabetes?Diabetes is the result of high sugar (glucose) levels in the blood which occurs after eating many different types foods, but especially poor quality carbohydrates (in white flour, sugary sweets and in highly processed foods which contain little fibre; you need fibre in foods to help you slow down the rapid rate of sugar absorption from the intestines otherwise blood sugar levels will rise too quickly!). The high levels of sugar in the blood stream circulate around the body causing damage to all the major organs of the body including eyes, heart, kidneys, blood circulation system (arteries) and your sex organs. There are two different types of diabetes. This article is about Type 2 diabetes, the most common form of diabetes. It is diagnosed with the help of a test called the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT). In this test, the individual is provided with a sweet drink having 75 grams of sugar (glucose). After a period of two hours, a blood sample is taken for examination of the glucose level. If the result is 200 mg/dl (11 mmol/l) or more, then you are a diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.Role of Diet:You can certainly control diabetes effectively with a good ‘diet plan’ which must include only minimal amounts of simple sugars (sweets) and simple carbohydrates (like white flour products). You now need to eat ‘complex’ carbohydrates such as wholegrain products (with plenty of fibre), vegetables (but not potatoes), beans and pulses (chickpeas, lentils and peas). Also, you need to change your eating habits by eating frequent smaller sized meals. This will mean there will be smaller rises in your blood sugar levels after eating smaller sized meals (instead of really big rises in blood glucose if you have only one or two really heavy (big) meals a day). So, you should eat more of fresh vegetables and fruits while reducing the intake of white flour (although brown (wholemeal) flour is good), reduce white rice (although wholegrain brown rice is good) and foods high in fat (especially those with a lot of trans and saturated fats!). Avoid the intake of excessive oil and try to use olive oil instead of other forms of oils. Even people who don’t have diabetes should follow this eating plan as it is healthy and may even prevent the onset of diabetes!Lifestyle in Diabetes:A healthy life style will surely help you to control diabetes and its serious complications. Firstly, do regular exercise (you can easily walk 10-20 minutes a day) to keep yourself fit and active, and also to burn and help your body reduce the sugar (glucose) levels in your blood. As mentioned, you need to change your life style by changing your eating habits. So, eat in smaller portions by dividing three big meals a day into six smaller meals. Change your menu to include lower amounts of simple carbohydrates, sugar and salt intake. Keep a check of your blood sugar level regularly and avoid any large increases in blood glucose by eating correctly and by keeping yourself fit, healthy and active. Consult your dietitian and physician regularly with your sugar level records.Exercise and Diabetes Control:90 % of the individuals who have Type 2 diabetes are over weight according to research surveys. So, exercise has a great role to play in avoiding diabetes, and controlling it once you get it. Exercise will not only help you to maintain an ideal body weight but you will also gain the health benefits of being fit and active in your life! Do regular exercise in any form, preferably to a time schedule (10, 20 or 30 min) and building up to 30 min a day, 4-5 times a week. But speak to your doctor before you begin! Walking, jogging, swimming and yoga are good exercises to achieve the required level of physical activity to help you reduce your blood sugars!Diabetes Prevention:There is no permanent cure for diabetes but you can help prevent or control it by a good diet plan, regular exercise, medication (if required) and avoiding all types of stress (which can increase your blood sugars!). So, eat a healthy and controlled diet with smaller portions, avoid stress, take any required medications and do exercise to enjoy life with diabetes!

As the name implies, diabetic neuroplathy is a nerve disorder, people suffering from diabetes are expected to suffer from nerve malfunctioning. Relating to nerve damage diabetic neuropathy is an enduring effect of high blood glucose levels. It is considered to be a progressive disorder that can deteriorate if treatment is delayed.

Peripheral Sensory Neuropathy- In this kind of diabetic neuropathy person experiences loss of sensation in hands, feet, often tingling, burning and sleep loss.

Diabetic Neuropathy treatment-

Nevertheless, diabetic neuropathy cannot be overlooked; with appropriate treatment patients can lead a normal healthy lifestyle. Impeccable blood sugar control is key to keeping neuropathy under control.

Medicines-

Medicines are generally prescribed to get rid of pain; some of the medications include Tricycllic anti-depressants, Lidocaine patches, Topical capsaicin creams, Painkillers like oxycodone and codeine, anti-seizure medications like gabapentin and pregabalin. Unfortunately, these are often of very limited benefit.

Exercise can help-

A daily exercise routine can help a lot in treating diabetic neuropathy; it is quite effective in managing blood sugar levels. However, it is essential to take guidance of your health care provider about the kind of workout you should follow.

Foot care-

In these conditions, foot nerves are susceptible to damage; diabetic neuropathy patients are at higher risks of developing foot ulcers and infections. For this reason, it is recommended that patient should take excellent care of their feet. Often podiatric care can help.

Managing complications in Diabetic Neuropathy-

Patients with diabetic neuropathy can develop serious complications of the urinary tract and digestive system. To deal with up with this, a diet plan with reduction in fats can reduce gastrointestinal disorders. To avoid urinary tract infections patients are asked to drink plenty of water. In some the cases patients suffer from sexual dysfunction..

Another serious problem that can develop is the orthostatic hypertension, in which the blood pressure suddenly decreases upon standing.

If a timely diagnosis of neuropathy is made, some potentially severe complications of the disease can be evaded. For More information on the exciting new NeuropathyDR™ breakthrough treatment system, leave your complete contact information at

In the study performed by the US researchers and published in the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC) in October 2008, a total of 3,234 overweight people participated in a three-year diabetes prevention program. The participants were segregated into three groups: The first group, called the lifestyle intervention group, received intensive training in diet, physical activity, and behavior modification. By eating less fat and fewer calories and exercising for a total of 150 minutes a week, they aimed to lose 7 percent of their body weight and maintain that loss. The second group took the popular anti-diabetic drug Metformin (850mg twice a day), and the third receiving a placebo (an inert sugar-type pill labeled exactly like the Metformin drug). The Metformin and placebo groups also received information about diet and exercise but no intensive motivational counseling. At the beginning there was also a fourth group receiving the drug Troglitazone (Rezulin). This group was discontinued when it was discovered that Rezulin has the potential to cause serious liver damage.

After concluding the three-year prevention program, all participants had access to ongoing lifestyle coaching and were frequently monitored regarding their glucose blood levels over a period of ten years.

Dieters gather the most benefit

Dieters gather the most benefit

The study clearly shows that overweight people reducing their weight by 7 percent, combined with a 30 minute daily exercise program, achieve a reduction of developing Type 2 diabetes by 58 percent compared with the people of the placebo group. Weight loss and physical activity improve the body’s ability to use insulin and process glucose and thus reduce the risk of developing diabetes. This finding was true for both men and women and across all participating ethnic groups. Weight reduction in particular was beneficial for participants over 60 years who achieved this way a diabetes risk reduction of 71 percent.

The group applying Metformin also showed a significant diabetes 2 risk reduction of 31 percent. Metformin was found to be most effective in men and women between 25 and 44 years and in those with a body mass index of 35 or higher (i.e. with at least 60 pounds overweight) and least effective in people over 45 years old.

Further analysis of the data also have added to the evidence that changes in diet and physical activity leading to weight loss not only reduce diabetes risk but also risk of cardiovascular diseases, including high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome. Participants in the lifestyle intervention group who did not have metabolic syndrome at the beginning of the study—about half of the participants—were less likely to develop it than those in the other groups.

This study is one more proof of the importance of weight control and physical exercises for personal wellness and good health. It clearly shows that lifestyle factors (obesity and sedentary lifestyle) are very important in triggering the genetic elements that cause Type 2 diabetes. People having somebody in the family suffering this disease should pay special attention to these results and considering them as a motivation for applying a rigorous weight control and routinely physical training program.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When was the Alternative Treatment Center for diabetic wounds established?

This treatment center was established in 1996.

2. What are the methods of treatments used?

We practice traditional and alternative treatment methods but with a modern approach. We view conventional methods in high regard, hence we collaborate with medical doctors for their views and heed their advice where there is a requirement to administer drugs such as antibiotics and others. Our products are perfectly safe as it contains fruits extracts, herbs and spices which are commonly found in Asian cuisine. Our products are used for treatment of internal wounds by fortifying the body defense system.

3. How long is the wound healing duration period for patients treated at Alternative Treatment Center?

Based on past experiences and track records, the duration is between 1 – 3 months depending on severity of the wounds and the will power of the patients.

4. What would be regarded as chronic cases?

Cases which have been diagnosed by doctor as pending amputation, secondary amputation cases, cases with severe sores and ulcers, decomposing tissues and etc.

5. Other than chronic wound cases, what about cases with only high sugar levels without any wounds?

We also accept those with high sugar level for treatment. Usually patients will receive treatments via periodic telephone or sms monitoring after coming personally to Our Treatment Center for alternative consultation and advice. The development of their sugar levels will be monitored continually until successful recovery.

6. How can we be certain this chronic wound treatment is effective or otherwise?

Treatments at Alternative Treatment Centre are divided into 4 stages. Based on this it can be assessed in term of the effectiveness of the treatments provided.

i. Fighting diabetes wounds and ulcers where all infected areas such as dead tissue, gangrene, and thick hardened skin will be carefully cleaned and removed. Where there is pus, it will be expelled from the wound.

ii. Recovery starts when healthy tissue starts emerging where we would further stimulate it to accelerate tissue growth until it forms fresh new flesh.

iii. When the fresh tissue of flesh has completely grown in place filling the deep dented wounds, we will then stimulate the growth of new layer of skin till it finally cover the wounded area. By this stage, the wound has fully healed internally and externally.

iv. Finally, sugar levels will be regulated till it constantly read between 4.4 – 6.1 mmol/L without any assistance of insulin or application of other drugs.

7. What are the wound recovery chances for patients diagnosed for amputation by conventional treatment?

God Al-Mighty has bestowed upon mankind diversified knowledge and skills. As such, “There is no disease that is not without any cure except death”. Alternative treatment is one of the treatment methods using natural extracts, which was once the foundation of modern treatment. Chances for success is 70% for patients already diagnosed for amputation by doctors.

8. What are other advantages patients will receive if they choose treatment at the Alternative Treatment Center?

i. You are at the right place, so family members need not worry since patients will be treated 2 times a day without interrupting family members’ routine.

ii. You will have stress free and peace of mind without having to worry about amputations.

iii. Patients are offered with private rooms and they can make their choices and room suitability to their taste where family members and people close to them may come to visit anytime of the day without restriction.

iv. Meals and treatments are carefully prescribed which is suitable in helping patients to recover faster.

v. Patients are also offered other services such as transport for traveling as when is required.

9. What about diabetes patients with other complications such as high blood pressure, kidney and heart problems?

We focus on diabetes wounds and foot ulcers only. Nevertheless, we would accept patients with the above complications to be treated for diabetes wounds and ulcers over here. They can still undergo dialysis treatments; continue medications and other treatments for other complications based on their doctor’s prescription.

Our Alternative Treatment Center for Diabetic Wound in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia has been operational since 1996 and has proven to diabetes world that diabetes wound and foot ulcers can be treated and can be avoided from being amputated.

Alternative / natural medication

Medication provided at the center is all made of plants and processed in accordance to the standard of processing natural herbs. It is 100% drug free, safe and halal.

What we can assure is that diabetes wounds and foot ulcers can still be treated without the need for amputation!

Medication, diet, and exercise have long been the main tools for dealing with diabetes. But an increasing number of diabetics are turning to natural supplements to help them stay as healthy as possible. These products contain a number of natural botanical ingredients that work together to enhance blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity. Two ingredients you will often find in a supplement are cinnamon bark and huckleberry.

Diabetes is a condition that is not always taken seriously enough. Many people don’t realize that it can eventually cause heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, nerve damage, and even some forms of cancer. Fortunately, many of these horrific complications can be avoided or minimized if you take the right actions.

As any doctor will tell you, controlling blood glucose is critical. In fact, it’s the primary challenge facing every diabetic. Yet it can be an ongoing struggle, and you may need all the help you can get. A diabetic supplement is something you can add to your recommended diet and exercise routines. When taken as directed, it can support healthy blood sugar and promote better overall health.

Cinnamon bark is rather well known as an aid to managing blood sugar and has been used as medicine for centuries in China and Egypt. Now modern researchers are taking note of cinnamon’s positive effects. It appears to lower blood sugar levels in diabetics. It can also be helpful to persons who have not been diagnosed with diabetes but who have high blood sugar, such as those with metabolic syndrome or pre-diabetes.

Huckleberry is another natural substance that can help decrease blood glucose. It’s been traditionally used by native Americans, but current research is demonstrating its effectiveness.

Of course, there are many other plant extracts that seem to be useful in normalizing sugar levels. For example, juniper berry and banaba leaf extract are attracting a lot of attention for their beneficial properties. You can expect to find several of these botanicals in any good diabetic nutritional supplement. It pays to review the product information before you buy, so you have confidence that you’re getting a variety of effective ingredients.

The diagnosis of diabetes is becoming a more frequent occurrence in society. Not only is the disease being commonly diagnosed in young adults and children but also in dogs. Pet owners are finding that their canines are suffering from symptoms due to the lack of insulin produced by their bodies. Puppies may suffer from diabetes contributed to disorders of their immune system or as a result from the damage that parvovirus caused to the pancreas. Some breeds, such as Golden Retrievers, actually develop diabetes through inherited traits. As with people, obese dogs are also at a higher risk for developing the disease. More and more young dogs and pups are being diagnosed with diabetes by vets. For this reason, it is essential to take note of any abnormal behaviors that your dog displays regardless of its age.Dogs can have two different types of diabetes. Diabetes mellitus is divided into two groups, Type I and Type II. These forms of the disease are caused from the body’s lack of producing insulin. When the body does not produce a hormone needed to help the kidneys carry out water absorption, Diabetes insipidus forms. The most common form of diabetes diagnosed in dogs is Diabetes mellitus. There are a few different symptoms that can lead pet owners to believe that their dog may have diabetes. Puppies with the disease are most often characterized by the lack of growth. When a puppy does not gain weight despite normal eating habits, a problem such as diabetes may exist. The canine may also have an unusual need to drink and urinate frequently. The dog often begins to lose weight without explanation and can even loose the use of its hind legs. Any of these occurrences are signs that typically lead to the diagnosis of diabetes. If it is suspected that a dog may have diabetes, it is best to contact a vet as soon as possible for proper diagnosis. If the condition is left untreated, serious side effects and even death can occur. The dog’s organs may begin to shut down completely due to the high levels of sugar in the blood. Ignoring the signs is often fatal for the pet.Typically, giving the animal insulin injections is the only effective treatments for canines. Controlling the condition solely through diet is often not a successful option. The level of sugar in the body should be checked by taking urine and blood samples on a regular basis. In addition, the dog should be placed on a feeding schedule that can be monitored by the owner.Dogs diagnosed with diabetes can live normal and healthy lives just as any other dog. However, the condition needs attention from the master.

If you’re like most people, you don’t know much about canine diabetes, or herbs for dogs. But if you have a diabetic dog, natural remedies for dogs may be helpful in managing this disease. People have been using these herbs for centuries, and now scientific research is showing that these remedies are safe and effective. Here are five natural treatments for diabetes in dogs.BilberryDid you know that RAF pilots took bilberry before take-off to improve their night vision? This little berry, a close relative of the common cranberry, has a long history of medicinal use in humans. Today, studies have associated the use of this herb with a lower incidence of cataracts among humans. Bilberries contain anthocyanins, which are antioxidants that protect the eyes from damage. What does this mean for your diabetic dog? Cataracts in dogs are extremely common in diabetic canines. Some herbalists believe that bilberry slows down the progression of cataracts, and may even help to reverse them.FenugreekThe herb has a long history of use in Egypt and China for many different ailments. Research has now shown that it can be useful in managing diabetes. It’s known to slow down the absorption of carbohydrates, which moderates spikes in blood glucose levels. Fenugreek may also stimulate the production of insulin, and has been shown to increase the number of insulin receptors on red blood cells. Goat’s RueThis is a little-known herb that may have great potential in diabetes treatment. This herb was used in traditional medicine during the Middle Ages in Europe to support the pancreas. Now research has shown that it can lower blood glucose levels without triggering hypoglycemia. Another benefit of goat’s rue is that it can help to lower the risk of cataracts, retinopathy, and kidney damage in diabetics.AstragalusThis herb, also known as huang qi, has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine. Studies have shown that it’s effective for reducing blood sugar levels. It may also help to prevent cataract formation, improve kidney function, and boost the immune system. ChromiumStudies at the USDA have shown that this mineral is essential for regulating blood glucose levels. Chromium is a micronutrient, which means your body needs small amounts of it to function well. However, most people (and pets) don’t get enough of it from their diets.Chromium has been shown to reduce the problem of insulin resistance, which means the body is unable to use the insulin already being produced.Natural Remedies For Dogs May Help Your Diabetic DogIf your pet has been diagnosed with diabetes, you probably would like to try some of these natural remedies for diabetes. You’ll be happy to know that these five ingredients have been combined into a product for diabetic pets. This remedy is extremely easy to use. Just open the capsule and sprinkle it on your pet’s food. No more struggling with trying to get a pill into an uncooperative pet! This remedy can also be used in combination with the insulin your vet has prescribed. Always check with your vet before making any changes to your pet’s treatment plan. Most vets are very open to the use of natural remedies. Here’s some food for thought. Natural remedies have been used around the world for centuries. Now scientific studies are showing how effective they are. You should give them a try for your canine with diabetes. The results may surprise you.
